Is Back Pain Normal

Why do we consider pain normal? Why do we think back pain is a side effect of an activity we performed or that we are "just getting old?" In reality it could be totally unrelated. Why do we choose to swallow a "magic" pill to mask the pain? Do we think about deaths and illness associated with drugs and their side effects? No. We have become lazy and conditioned to just "hope" that the pain will just go away, or that the drugs don’t have a harmful effect, or that the surgeon won't leave a broken off tip of an instrument inside you from an expensive and probably unecessary surgery. Why don't we take a little time to educate ourselves and be proactive and preventative?
